Pre-Ramble
Okay - so please read this blog with a gentle gaze as we were limited with web access, speed and energy after long beautiful days to re-hash. Even if I'm the only reader in the long run - it's great to blog-a-log deets I want to reflect on. I don't love blogging, but I love having blogged!
Likely, I'll take time to add or edit words and images when time allows (ha!) - but for now, in the spirit of imperfection - here's a scan of a trip to Iceland with John - August 2011. I use the word scan.. because you know there is always so much more to travel then meets the eye - so much more to see!
btw, to view from the beginning of trip to the end - scroll all the way down (then to "older posts") then to the image of the Iceland map & NYC taxi cab...and READ UP!
- or you can read it backward, I guess!

Cadillac moment
Walking around in stunning Iceland and we come across a vintage Cadillac show - and after hanging with the cars for just 2 minutes - it wasn't until I was standing by the water that I was struck with tears and I realized that there are few things that I could have shared with my brothers... and out of all the Iceland photos I would have to show - they'd ONLY be interested in the vintage Cadillacs... and I wish they were both alive to see the dice on the tire plugs and the locks. I really just wish they were alive, period.
Later in the evening - after such a full, amazing day, with so many adventures, sights, introductions to fabulously interesting people - I asked John what the highlight of his day was - and he replied that it was when we were standing by the water in the sunlight after walking past the vintage Cadillacs, and he held me in his arms while I wept.
Enough said.
Well, I do need to mention - that after the cry - we stood there by the water, and watched this red and white tug boat sprouting up sprays of water into the sky and watched a slow and perfect rainbow develop in it's wake.
Now,
enough
