We used the website - www.airbnb.com - and stay with this couple just outside Reykjavik in a huge cozy room with the whitest fluffiest pillows, enormous hospitality and curiosity about our lives and living in the states. Kalli was born in Iceland, Natalia from Russia - and Alexander born to them 3 years ago. It felt like an instant friendship - and we stayed up late at night swapping stories of our lives, our relationships and ourselves.
